木村式ニ足自走機の原点で あり 現在も改良が進められ る、KIMURA の主力商品であ る。その歩く姿ははまさに生き ている かのごとく、そして 儚い。人類がヒューマノイド に恋い焦が れてやまないのは 彼等が持つ普遍 的な「未来」 というシンボル。 そして何 よりいつまでも完成を成し 遂げられない永遠の「夢」 だからだ。 私はヒューマノ イドを作るわけで もなくこ の「PEACE WALKER」を作った。 なぜなら、現時点でヒュー マノイド計画は各社の 究極 のモビリティ技術の追求で しかない。私はアーチスト とし てヒューマノイド計画 に「文化」 を与えなければ ならない。 人間の持つ 「モノ」へのセンチ メンタ リズムは機械である 「ロボット」をモノからそ れ以上の存 在にするだろ う。 人類が今後、科学技 術と共存して いくには 「モノ」と文化を融合し てゆく必要がある。
